September Game Day

We ended up with 5 of us today, which was a perfect number for playing Terraforming Mars.  Between teaching the game, learning by playing and there being 5 of us it took fairly long.  I think everyone agreed that it was a good game - and everyone felt that they would play differently, and more quickly, next time.  It definitely has a learning curve.  I ordered some acrylic overlays for the player mats, which really helped keep things from getting out of order.

After TM, Mark, Jess and Alex played a base game of Among the Stars.  Don and I tried to play an “escape room in a box.”  We gave up before even reaching the main game (played the tutorial and a small learning game).  It was not fun at all.  So that whole genera of games is now off my list - not going there.  Sorry about the misery, Don.  Don has an associate who will probably like the games, so he is taking the games to them on a one way trip.

After dinner we played two quick games of Sushi Go.

The October game day is 10/21.  The theme is non-train transportation games (A fairly small list of games, so I’ll be looking for any others from your collections). Snacks are assigned to Rick.
