March Game Day

Wow - we played a lot of games today!

It was super-filler day, so the games were shorter by design, and part of the time we separated into a 2 & 3 split.  I may miss something, but I’ll give it a try.

1.  Two games of Escape.  We got handed our heads in the first game, but manage to escape the temple on the second one.
2.  Two games of Splendor.  This is a really light game, but it’s still fun.  It is sort of collision of Monad and Bazar (two older games you might know about).
3.  One game of Subdivision.  We missed one rule, but it was the first play so we were mostly just trying to get the mechanics down.  It seemed like everyone liked it.  Staying in the collection.
4.  One game of Race for the Galaxy.
5.  One game of Harbor.  Again, mostly a learning game.  The conclusion was that it was a good game, but would benefit from being played by 3 or 4 instead of just two.  Staying in the collection.
6.  One game of Dragon Slayer.  Again, mostly a learning game.  The arf-arf of the day, this is going into the sell/trade pile.  There are too many good dice games out there to hold on to a mediocre one.
7.  One game of trains with the expansion cards and a new map.  We still have to explore the destination bonus expansion.
8.  One game of Gravwell.  Still fun chaos management.
9.  Two games of Qwixx
10.  A demo game of St. Petersburg to kick the tires on the new edition and show Alex and Jess how the game works.

No wonder I’m tired!

Also, it was Pi Day (as in 3.14) so we had pizza and banana creme pie to eat.  All around it was a good day (pun intended).

The next game day is presently scheduled for 4/11.  Please let me know if you will be able to attend.

The theme is Marty’s choice.

Snacks are assigned to Alex.
