We played shorter games in case I was unable to continue: Space Base with the start of the “Shy Pluto” expansion, Roll through the Ages: Iron Age, and Race for the Galaxy. In the end I managed to play all three, but I was totally drained by the time RftG ended.
The Shy Pluto expansion is introduced with a story arc that lasts a number of games (probably 3). For the first game it was mostly just revealing new cards. There are still two “mystery boxes” remaining to be opened.
Iron Age takes the basic structure of RttA and moves it further away from Yahtzee and more toward a “gamers” game.
