January Game Day Report

First off, thanks to everyone for being willing to play games that weren’t originally planned for you.  You learned really well on the fly!

Also thanks to Rick for adding to the impromptu snacks.

Sadly, we won’t see Mark again until September.  He’s traveling the world again.

Today we played Imhotep, Tiny Epic Galaxies and Viticulture (essential edition).  Of the 5 of us I think each game had one “yeah, whatever” vote and four thumbs up.  I like the simple mechanics/agonizing decisions in Imhotep.  Tiny Epic Galaxies continues to surprise that so much depth can be in such a small box.  Viticulture really evokes it’s theme well considering it is essentially a worker placement game.  I don’t think any of them will be leaving my collection.

Game day next month is 2/18 (this is an update).  The theme is historical games.  As usual, I will send out a voting list.  Snacks are assigned to Marty.
