November’s theme is oldies but goodies - games that are at least 10 years old. We played India Rails first. This was the closest game we had ever seen - and we ran into more tricky rules questions than ever before as well. Three players connected all their cities and exceeded $250 on the same turn. The difference between first and third was $9!
Secondly we played part of a game of Circus Maximus. Now this is readily an oldie! It brought back a lot of memories for Marty and me. We may have to try this again before we slide back down the rules memory curve.
A reminder to those who are playing that there is a BSW session on Monday evening, 11/18. I still need some votes.
There is no FTF game day scheduled in December. There will be an async on-line session in December. If you aren’t a regular on-line player and would wish to join us, please e-mail me. I will start the arrangements for this session soon.
January is a tough month to schedule, as many of us are on vacation. The game day will be 1/25. I think I know everyone’s status for this date except for Don. The theme for January will be new games (really new, or just new to us). There is also a BSW session scheduled for January. I think we will try to have it early in the month as an offset to the late FTF session. More to follow regarding this.
To those who I won’t see until 2014, happy Thanksgiving, our best wishes for the holiday season, and safe travels!
