If you like Union Pacific but don't feel like shelling out $100 for a used copy then you might consider the new Airlines Europe. Union Pacific is actually a reworking of the original Airlines. It has now been taken back to an airline theme and supposedly is quicker, has more decisions and has shed the wonky track types.
Those who like Roll through the Ages might keep their eyes out for Die Burgen von Burgund (The Castles of Burgundy). It looks like more complex die rolling to build a village/castle.
